Spring-Like Weather

Once again I've let too much time pass between my blogs! I swore I wouldn't let this happen as Jaxon grows up, but it is amazing how little free time I have now that he is mobile! Jaxon is still a crawling machine. He isn't walking yet, but he's close. He loves to walk holding on to things; a kitchen chair, his walker, his dad's hand, any toy big enough. We let go of his hands a few times today and he took a few steps by himself, but he got bored with that very quickly. I'm sure it won't be long before he is walking all over the place and then we'll wish he was still crawling.

Things are still good down here. Jason has just three weeks left on the T-6 and only about seven more flights. He is still doing great and LOVING what he does. The weather is starting to warm up down here (when it's not raining) and we're taking advantage of getting outside to play and exercise. Jason's sister, mom and our two nephews visited last week and our niece, Page, is down here right now spending her spring break with us. I will get some pictures up in the next few days of those visits.

This is where we put Jaxon when we need to get something done. Just kidding! He loves to crawl in and out of Cooper's crate and it drives Cooper crazy!

Jason brought all of his gear home one weekend because they did some weekend flying. He talked me into putting all of it on. For some reason I had trouble keeping my eyes open while wearing the mask. I don't know what it was, but I felt more comfortable closing my eyes while wearing it. Jason thought this might cause a problem while flying, but I reminded him that that is why he is the pilot. The best part of this picture is my pink and purple slippers!

Jaxon is trying to figure out what in the world I have on my head.

Watching outside for birds. He loves to look out our backdoor and watch the birds (who have several nests in the roof of our back porch). One day I looked over and he was wearing his daddy's house shoes. I knew Jason would get a kick out of it, so I snapped a quick picture before he took the shoes off.

What? Who me?
