Aunt Jenn and Cousin Pay Pay

My sister, Jenn and niece, Page came down for a visit. They flew into Atlanta and Jaxon and I met them there for a weekend of fun. We left Atlanta Sunday morning and drove to Columbus, MS and they stayed for another four days. We had so much fun with them down here and hated when it was time for them to go, but all good things must come to an end. I've uploaded all of these pictures in the wrong order, but I'll do my best to give explanations.

COLUMBUS:

Jason and I were bird-sitting for our next door neighbors. Page and Rosie (an African Gray bird) hit it off right away. Rosie tends to fly away from us, but as soon as Page got near her, she would bow down and allow Page to rub her head.

Page doing Wii Fit.

Of course the bowling alley was a must for our visitors.

Memaw sent some money with Pay Pay to take all of us out for dinner. Here is Page's reaction when she was given the bill:

Jaxon and Pay Pay outside Woody's.

Page reading to Jaxon:

Friendship Cemetery (Columbus, MS):

Children's Hands On Museum (CHOM) - Tuscaloosa, AL:

Dressed up in period clothes at the CHOM.

Our bank teller writing us checks.

At the pharmacy, making ice cream sundaes.

Jaxon and Pay Pay making music at the CHOM.

We could not get Jaxon out of this truck - without a major fit.

Looking through the microscope at bugs.

Paul "Bear" Bryant Museum (Tuscaloosa, AL):

There was an entire case of Alabama bumper stickers and in the middle was this description of bumper stickers and its history. It is a major shout-out to Gill Studios of Lenexa, KS and we had to take a pic for Papa Schu.

Jaxon, listening to a recording of an Alabama sports broadcaster.

Page, posing in front of a lot of Alabama memorabilia.

"Bear" Bryant's former office.

Outside the "Bear" Bryant Museum.

Waverly Mansion (Columbus, MS):

ATLANTA:

Cousins swimming in the hotel pool.

Ready to hit the pool.

Yummy homemade biscuit at Highland Bakery.

Huge, delicious, cinnamon roll with cream cheese frosting.

Cousins chilling at the hotel.

After a few hours in the Aquarium, Jaxon was exhausted. Aunt Jenn was holding him at the time and he passed out on her for almost an hour.

Waiting in line to go into the Coca-Cola factory.

The Georgia Acquarium:

He loved watching the fish swim by.

Pay Pay "petting" a little sting ray.
