So, on the second hottest day of the summer, we decided to go to Topeka with Jason's parents. Oh my were we HOT. We took Jason's 86 year old grandma with us and boy was she a trooper. She was the only one who didn't complain about the heat and she was wearing long sleeves and a long dress.
We went to Gage Park and took a train ride through the park. Then Jaxon and his cousin, Rowan, played in the park. We had lunch downtown then headed out to Forbes Field to the
Combat Air Museum. I was looking forward to the museum so we could cool off after being outside, but turns out that the museum is in an old (un-air conditioned) hangar!

Jaxon and Daddy on the train in Gage Park. I know you can't tell by Jaxon's face, but it was seriously one of the hottest days of the summer. Did I mention to you how hot it was that day?

Dakota and I ended up toward the back of the train. Look at the smile on my face, despite the massive pools of sweat trickling down my back.
