We got back to Illinois the 11th of January and drove through quite a snow storm. It wouldn't have been too terrible, except we were pulling a UHaul trailer too. We made it safe and sound and what usually takes us 7 1/2 to 8 hours to drive (it's only a 6 1/2 hour drive, but we make long stops with the kids) took us a little over 10 hours. Not too bad considering the conditions.
Not only were we thankful to have arrived safely, but we were excited that snow was waiting on the ground for us when we got home. I went to Target the next day and bought a sled!

Here's comes our little snow man! He LOVES the snow, as long as he is wearing boots and waterproof gloves. And he'll let you know that he's not going near that snow until these priorities are met. We are lucky enough to have a "Jaxon-sized" hill in our backyard that is perfect for sledding.

He told me he had to go to work that day. I guess he was planning to drive to work. He doesn't have 4-wheel drive in his ride so I offered to take him in my Expedition.

Hi Daddy! Shoveling off our front steps.

Hi Mama! It's a family affair. I was trying to shovel the drive so Jason could park his car there, but got told that I was taking the snow from the "good sledding spot".

This was before I found him sitting a pile of snow snacking on it.
A few weeks later, we got the blizzard that hit most of the mid-west. I got a few pictures from it, but we had so much work to do to get the cars unburied that I didn't have much time to take a lot of pictures. I'll get them on here in the next few days as well as some birthday pictures of our 3 YEAR OLD!

I love that Jaxon makes sure he is going to be good and dry if he's going to play in the snow. I wish we had snow to play in I miss it. I am also going to make a request I would love to see picture of your home on second thought I'll just come out and see it myself.
