Very Special Visit

We were so excited for my Aunt Stephanie from Tucson, AZ and my grandpa from Laurie, MO to come up to Illinois for a visit. We went to the Pumpkin Festival in Morton and watched the parade, watched Jaxon ride a carnival ride, and then sampled some of the yummy pumpkin sweets. Saturday night, we all went to visit Jason at work and took a tour of the C-130. Jason was thrilled to take my grandpa in the cockpit and tell him all about the missions of the Herk. What a wonderful time to spend with family!! My kids were in heaven having two more people to read to them, play with them and watch them act silly.

Jaxon enjoyed the Star Wars characters.

YUM! Pumpkin ice cream in the foreground, pumpkin sugar cookie in the middle and pumpkin donuts in the bag. All delicious!

After the parade and pumpkin food, we walked through some arts and crafts vendors, then stopped at this fire truck on our way back to the car:

There were some nice teenagers in the truck who helped Jaxon put the helmet on!
