Daddy Dolls

Jason had heard about these Daddy Dolls that can be ordered online. Their purpose is to bring some comfort to the families when daddies are at work. I decided to order one for each kid, but when I got to the checkout, my total was over $50. I just couldn't see spending that much this close to Christmas. So, I called my wonderful and talented friend, Jessica, to see if she thought we could make them cheaper (and faster). Two days later, she handed my kids these:

As you can see, Dakota loves to hug and love on her Daddy doll.

And Jax has slept with his almost every night.

Jessica printed Jason's picture on a special paper that she ironed on to plain fabric. Each of my kiddos picked out a soft, flannel fabric for the back of the doll. Dakota's is on the left and Jaxon's is the puzzle pieces on the right. We are so thankful that Jessica did these so quickly, they are a treasure and have brought a lot of comfort to my kiddos while their daddy is away.

I love them. What an amazing idea. Do you think she would be up for making some for me? I would totally pay her. Truly how special is that. I just love, love, love it. Let me know.
