Snow Ice Cream

Back in late February/early March, we got a good amount of snow. We didn't get the several feet that Kansas had, but we got enough inches to do some serious sledding. We had heard of snow ice cream before, but neither Jason nor I had tried making it. With plenty of the white stuff on the ground, we decided to gather some up and give it a try. There are several recipes on the Internet, and most of them are very similar. We found this recipe on Allrecipes.com (one of our favorite recipe websites). Click here to go to the link for the recipe.

We decided to make a vanilla flavored one following the recipe, then we added our own touch by making a chocolate one by adding chocolate syrup. Both were very tasty and all taste-testers approved.

Cute kids wearing pajammas is not a requirement for making snow ice cream, but it sure makes it more fun!

The finished vanilla snow ice cream. It may not look like much, but it was actually really yummy.
