Friday we enjoyed an evening in. Then Saturday morning mom and I drove to Tuscaloosa, Alabama (just an hour from here). It was a game day, but luckily it was an away game. The atmosphere on game day reminded me a lot of Manhattan. Everyone was wearing Bama gear and talking about the game. Jason spent Saturday with some guys from his class out on the river wakeboarding. That evening (mom's birthday) we stayed in and watched TV. Sunday we went to church in the morning and relaxed in the evening. Monday, mom and I went shopping downtown, then Jason and I took her bowling, on base, that evening. Tuesday and Wednesday we relaxed around the house. We had a great time and we were so excited to have a visitor.

Memaw Visits
We had our first visitor! My mom spent her birthday with us this past week. We had a great time showing her around town and she enjoyed being with us and especially Jax and Cooper. Cooper went crazy when he saw her. He was right under her feet the whole time she was here and never let her out of his sight. Since she's gone back home to KC, he is pouting a bit.

On our way to church. I really wanted a picture of all of us dressed up, but we forgot! So, this will have to do. You can see Jax's little hand shadow next to Memaw.
Memaw and Jaxon at the little airport in town. There's only one gate, which makes it nice for planes coming and going (one in one out).
Mom, Jax and I ate lunch downtown at Cafe on Main. They have just 3-4 choices for lunch and it's all homemade. Yummy!!
Despite that we had a visitor, Jason still had to keep up with his studies. He had a test Wednesday (the day mom left). He studied Sunday night, Monday night, then went to a friend's for a study group on Tuesday night. I'm happy to say, that he passed with flying colors. He's doing awesome with academics and really enjoying learning about the T-6.
Best Buds! Jaxon just adores Cooper. He loves to watch him and just cracks up when Cooper sneezes, scratches, barks, and growls. They are going to be the best of friends growing up.
