Christmas in September

While my mom was visiting, we did some shopping downtown. When we saw this rocking chair, we couldn't resist. We decided Jaxon couldn't live without it and my mom decided to give it to him as an early Christmas present. Turns out, the owner of the shop bought it hoping to take orders for Christmas presents. Not long after she got it put together and set up in her shop, she found out the manufacturer was no longer making them. Looks like we got a one-of-a-kind. The shop owner's husband is a former instructor pilot and they enjoyed their time in this area so much, that they came back to retire here once he finished his time in the Air Force. I've taken Jaxon in to her shop a few times and she just loves to play him. She has a little puppy named, Perkins, who LOVES Jaxon. I'll put Jaxon on the floor next to Perkins and Perkins will kiss all over Jaxon.

Already trying to figure out what the controls do. When we put him in the chair, he started playing with the buttons and turning the yoke (Jason's not here to correct me, so hopefully I'm saying that right). It's like he already knew how to pilot a plane.

New PJ's from Memaw. He's become fascinated with mirrors lately. It's like he just discovered that a really cute little baby boy is on the other side! When I stood him up to the mirror on his changing table, he immediately started smiling and wanted to touch and kiss the "baby" in the mirror. I told him I agreed - I can't get enough kisses from that baby either.

I am greatly enjoying your blogs and pictures, sounds like lots of fun. It is kind of making me excited about getting back to real military life and base living, if we can ever get this house sold. Glad your mom got to visit, that was always so fun when my mom could come out to Cali. Thanks for your comments and encouragement, it is greatly needed and appreciated.
