Our Fun(ny) Little Boy

I've got a little collection of pictures from the past few weeks that give you an idea of "a day in the life of".

I was in the middle of unloading the dishwasher and trying to get dinner on the table (something all multi-tasking moms can relate to) and I turned around just in time to catch this:

My little helper unloading the dishwasher for me!

Everyday when Jason gets home from work, Jaxon greets him at the door. Jason usually walks in the door, gives Jaxon hugs and kisses, then sets him back down to play. The minute he sets Jax down, Jaxon will walk right over to his Daddy and pull his hat out of the pocket. Then he'll try it on several times and giggle as he covers his eyes with it to play peek-a-boo. It's quite a funny game. Whenever we're around a large group of pilots in flight suits, we warn them to guard their hats so they don't get lost!

Here's an example of Jaxon trying to squeeze himself into the smallest space possible. I have found him scrunched on the bottom book shelf many times.

My laundry helper:

He is standing on top of the clean clothes (in the laundry basket) to reach the wet clothes I just put in the dryer.

Jax loves to help me fill the laundry basket with dirty clothes, then push it all through the house to the laundry room. Daddy was home this day and got to help!

Tired Boy:
I was out late one night and Jaxon was home with his Daddy. Jason said he was just getting ready to put him to bed and looked over to find this.

He loves to climb in his toy basket and sit. Once in awhile he'll get stuck and just sit there yelling till someone comes to his rescue.

We were driving down the road and Jason saw this in his rearview mirror:
He's sucking on his big toe like a small child would suck on their thumb. So gross, but oh so funny too!

Back in Kansas City

Jaxon and I went home to Kansas City at the end of April. His cousin, Page, had her first communion, and we were so excited to be there to celebrate with her. When we left Mississippi, Jaxon was very sick. Once our plane landed in KC, we drove straight to an ER to get some antibiotics for him. He started feeling better late Saturday night (just about when I started getting sick). We were both 100% by the end of Sunday and we still had eight days left in KC to enjoy healthy. We stayed busy visiting friends and family, but as usual, it wasn't enough time to see everyone. Things are still great in Mississippi. Jason is doing awesome with the new jet he's flying. It's been raining non-stop since Jaxon and I got back from KS, but hopefully it will clear up one of these days. Jaxon and I are planning to spend most of the HOT summer outside at the pool and the parks. Keep in touch and make plans to come visit us down south!

Thinking of something very profound I'm sure.

Jaxon and new friend, Julianne. Our good friends, Jamie and Randy, live in Maryland and were in town visiting the same weekend as Jaxon and me. We got to meet their precious little girl for the first time!

The most beautiful girl at Sacred Heart that day.

Our 2nd grader after her first mass since receiving first communion.

Uncle Austin and Jaxon at Page's school mass.

We tried getting a picture of Cousin PayPay (Page) and Jaxon, but he thought that was a bad idea apparently.

Mr. Independent walking all over the outdoor pavilion at The Legend's.

Memaw, Page, Jaxon, Aunt Jenn, and I went shopping at The Legend's (an outdoor shopping mall in KC). My sister thought to take some pictures of me and Jax together.

Lunch with Aunt Jenn!

Such a fun little guy!

Dialing someone on his cell phone while playing with "Aunt Titi".

Enjoying a visit from "Uncle" Bill. He loved for Bill to chase him.

Caught in action: Jaxon pulled every tissue out of the box at Memaw's!

Jaxon and Wyatt showing off their mad walking skills.

Cousin, Wyatt, blowing kisses to Jaxon.

Cousin, Braden, giving Jaxon good-bye hugs at church Sunday. We'll see you in October buddy!

Jaxon and Ouma at church.

Jaxon and Memaw having a good morning.

Playing on the slide in the Kelter's basement.

Little Olivia holding Jaxon with one arm (the other is in a sling). Not sure how I managed to not get a picture of mom, Stacey. Girls - email me a pic of your mom holding Jaxon if you got one!

Sweet Caroline enjoying little Jax.

Jaxon's KS babysitter - Betsy!

Such a ham.

Discovering Grandma and Grandpa Hager's bird bath. It was a lot of fun for Jaxon to splash all of the water out!

Helping the wind by ringing Grandma Hager's wind chimes.

Jaxon and Grandpa Hager discussing important "life stuff" I'm sure.

Enjoying his airplane ride-on toy from Grandma and Grandpa Hager.

Jaxon riding the carousel with Ouma at Oak Park Mall.
