Dakota's Two!

It's so hard to believe that Dakota is two! What an absolute blessing and joy she is to us! We feel so blessed to be her Mom and Dad and of course, Jaxon is head-over-heals for his little sissy.

Kota's face when she walked into the dining room, the morning of her birthday, and saw her chair decorated with helium balloons and the table covered with presents:

Here's Sis among all her gifts!

All day we'd say, "Happy Birthday Dakota!" And she would respond, "Happy Birthday Mommy!" (or the name of whoever said it to her).

Ripping into her presents! Here's a Minnie Mouse swimsuit cover-up from Grandma and Grandpa Hager.

And matching sunglasses and hat for the Minnie swimsuit!

A tricycle from Ouma and Oupa.

The Minnie Mouse set from Grandma and Grandpa: a swimsuit, hat, sunglasses, cover-up and flip-flops!

A sleeping bag from Mommy and Daddy!

ZOO:
Jason had her birthday day off, so we decided to celebrate Dakota with a day at the zoo!

Jax and Kota posing in front of a sea lion (or is it seal?).

Jax "riding" the camel.

Memaw and Kota in front of the sea lion.

LADYBUG PARTY:
We decided to have a ladybug-themed birthday party, for no reason except that it's super cute!

The amazing shirt our friend "Uncle Jessica" made for Dakota. Memaw also bought her a super cute ladybug bow, but would you expect a two year old to sit still long enough to take a picture of that too?

Little ladybugs grazing in the grass!

The cupcake table!

Once I put the cupcakes out, Dakota was asking about them. She kept asking, "I want cukcake?" Meaning, "Can I have a cupcake?" And I kept explaining to her, that she had to wait until her friends got there for her birthday party. When her first friends (the Harris family) arrived, she didn't even greet them at the door. I couldn't figure out where she had disappeared to and then I found this:

She was sitting her chair ready for a "cukcake"!

Jaxon got her a doll from the movie, Tangled. And you can see the Minnie Mouse pillow pal from Page in the foreground.

"Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday to You! Happy Birthday Sweet Dakota, Happy Birthday to You!"

Blowing out the candle!

Why wait for someone to peel off the paper when you can dive into the frosting? That is Mama's girl right there!

Friends, Alivia and Ali!

I can't believe she's two. Happy Birthday Dakota. From the looks of it her and Kambrie would be the best of friends. All the minni mouse stuff and the lady bug birthday that's totally what we did for Kambries 2nd as well. I wish we were still close. Miss you guys. Give the kids hugs and kisses for me.

Kota was such a cute birthday girl! You did a fantastic job with her party. It was adorable! We sure enjoyed celebrating Dakota and the precious little two-year-old she has become!
