Outside Play

A week ago, the weather was beautiful, almost 70 degrees. We spent most mornings playing outside and Jason even took the kids for a bike ride while I was at Bible Study last Monday night. But lately, the weather is barely above freezing. A few days we've even seen snowflakes. Everyone in the mid-west is anxious for spring to come, and stay for awhile. Hopefully in the next week or two we'll be able to get back outside to play. For now, I posted the three pictures I took outside last Monday.

Sis enjoyed climbing all over her daddy while he was laying on the ground. She loves the outdoors as much as Jaxon did - yay for outside kids! We have a "perfect" driveway for kids to play on. It's a little off the road, so the kids have tons of space to ride their bikes, throw balls and draw with chalk. But all Sissy wants to do is walk to the end of the driveway and out in to the street. I spend our entire time outside chasing her down the drive and dragging her (with loud protests) back to safety. It might be a long spring/summer, but I'd much rather chase her down the driveway than chase her indoors.



Hi mom! Jaxon missed his outdoor toys so much. Each day that we were outside, he pulled every single toy out to play with. Memaw bought the kids a swing set for their birthdays. It is currently in the garage in boxes, so we are looking forward to the next nice day that we are free to get it built. Jaxon looks at the boxes every day and says, "Mommy, I'm so excited Memaw bought that swing set. I can't wait to help Daddy build it." Lots of memories will be made I'm sure.



My kids LOVE to wrestle and climb on their daddy. So fun!




I just realized that I promised an update with pictures of our new house, like weeks ago. I can't believe I haven't gotten around to it. I still need to take a picture of the outside of the house, and then I will put some pics on here. Jason works all week and then has drill this weekend, so I should find plenty of time to blog.
