Page's Spring Break

When the kids and I left Kansas, we took Page with us back to Illinois. It was really nice having her company on the car ride from KS to IL (plus she was able to pick up Dakota's dropped toys and change DVD's for Jaxon). This is her third year spending her spring break with us. I had several fun things planned for the week, but you know how that goes; life just gets in the way sometimes. Jason was on a trip until Thursday, so some of my plans had to go out the window. I just wasn't going to drag two kids to the spa while Page and I got pedicures. Maybe next year...

Page was a blast to have around and a huge help. She and Jaxon would often disappear in to the basement for hours at a time, which gave me some very unusual free time. I was able to hang some things on the walls I've been putting off for some time, change the hardware on my kitchen cabinets, catch up on laundry and organize a few things around the house. The weather was beautiful so we got a few days outside too. On Saturday, we went to downtown Peoria, where Illinois High School basketball state was taking place. Although we didn't catch any games, we went to the High School Basketball Experience, which had several basketball activities for kids of all ages. Again, I did a terrible job of taking pictures, but here's a few of the last day before Page headed home:

There was a lot of this going on while Page was here. She was very patient with Jax and, for the most part, let him wrestle her.

Hi Sis!

I asked Jax to stand by Page so I could get their picture together. He kept hugging her, so I kept taking their picture.

Aunt Ninny brought Easter baskets for my kids, so they got to open them a few weeks early.

Hi Page!

Jaxon's Easter basket.
