Almost caught up on the blog...
On February 9th, Jaxon turned 5! What a treasure he has been to our family these past five years. He is becoming such a caring young man and I love how tender his heart is. He loves fish sticks, chicken nuggets and pancakes. He still chooses chocolate milk to drink and he loves to dip most foods in ketchup. He loves to play hockey, baseball, basketball, and soccer. Hockey and baseball are the only organized sports he has played so far, but he loves to have family games of all these sports in our basement. He has started playing a little golf and has showed his dad the golf course he wants him to take him to when the weather warms up this spring. He takes a tumbling class one night a week and loves it! He is really looking forward to kindergarten starting in the fall (ugh! where has the time gone?) and brings it up in every conversation he can. He also enjoys being read to and likes to read books in bed at night when we think he's asleep. His dad is still his best friend and if they're not practicing some kind of sport together, you can probably find them assembling Legos on the living room floor, playing the Wii or Playstation, watching Star Wars or acting out Star Wars with one of Jaxon's many light sabers, or cooking dinner for our family (something both of my kids love doing with us).
We love you Jaxon and we're so proud of you!
Ouma and Oupa came up to celebrate Jaxon's birthday with us. We started the morning with Jaxon's favorite breakfast: donuts from the donut shop. After breakfast (which in his opinion, took forever), we let him open his presents from us, Sissy, Ouma and Oupa, Grandpa and Grandma Hager, Uncle Nick and Aunt Jamie and boys, and Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Nat and girls. After opening presents, he chose to stay home the rest of the morning to play with all his new toy (even though we gave him tons of fun options of places we would take him). He got to pick lunch, so of course I made fishsticks. We took him out to dinner, his choice, so we ended up at Culver's! What a fun day!
